Racoons are attracted to trash, especially leftovers but also pet food. An opened garbage is a clear invitation for these “visitors”. You can also try placing something substantial on the lid of your trash since racoons can open up garbage containers. • Diminuate the smell
Racoons follow odour, so you may think of using double sealed plastic bags to keep the smell of food diminished.
