San Jose Wildlife Tip: Home remedies to keep bats away and get rid of them
Bats! Such annoying little creatures. Fear not, for here are some tried and tested methods to get them out and keep them out:

Repellents
• Door and window screens work like a charm, also, if you have a chimney, get a chimney cap.
• Cinnamon works. San Jose bats hate the smell, so mix some with water and spray it near places they live.
• Peppermint has many uses, including a natural pest deterrent. Have some growing in your garden, and use it the same way as cinnamon.
• Bats hate the smell of mothballs, just scatter them around the places the San Jose bats come in.
As a side note, there are quite a few deterrents for bats. Here we have listed the most interesting ones.

Tips
• Always wear thick clothing when catching bats, they may have rabies and a bite is never a good thing. Also, wear gloves.
• Stay calm! A relaxed atmosphere will make it easier to catch.
• Get pets and other people out of the room.

Catching the San Jose bats
• Bucket and cardboard, the everyday method. Wait for it to land, pop the bucket over it and slide the cardboard in underneath the bucket. Simple.
• Gossamer or butterfly nets work well too. These work best if it's panicked and flying about.
• Grab it! Simple and effective, catching the bat by hand could well be the simplest way to get them out. Wait for it to land, snatch it up and get rid of it.
Finally, some closing words. Repair holes in walls or ceilings, use screens, and make sure that if you do have a bat in the house, nobody should panic. It has sensitive ears, it hears breathing patterns, and it reacts accordingly. How to Kill a Rat: There are many modern snap traps that prevent the risk to pets and children since the device is enclosed in a plastic box. You should get instructions on how to set the snap trap in a safe manner. An electronic trap is normally battery-powered and it delivers an electric shock which kills the rodents even faster. This new type of trap is found for mice and rats. The live animals trap is a catch and release system and it avoids killing the mice and the rats. Note that there are some places where it is not allowed to release the rodents in the wild. It is also said that the captured rats or mice may urinate and this may increase their risk of spreading diseases.
